A comforting breakfast choice, Banana Tahini Oatmeal blends creamy oats with nutty tahini, sweet banana slices, and warm spices. Finished with optional chopped walnuts for a delightful crunch.

Ingredients

  • 1 c old fashioned rolled oats
  • 2 c water
  • 2 tbsp tahini
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • 1 banana, sliced into coins
  • ½ chopped walnuts- optional garnish

Instructions

  • In a small pot, add the water and bring to a light boil
  • Stir in the oats and reduce to a simmer (medium-low), stirring oats frequently
  • As the oats begin to tighten, about 3m, stir in tahini, vanilla, salt and cinnamon
  • After 5m, remove from heat, add in banana slices and place the lid on the pot for about 3m
  • Serve with chopped walnuts or your favorite crunchy topper for garnish
